Was Jesus a Jew? Pro and Con

Was Jesus a Jew? Pro and Con:

Pro:
1) Jesus said: “You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. “ John 4:22
(If anyone has any other proof, I will gladly add it to this post)

Against:
1) The Father of Jesus Christ was not a Jew. Joseph was not His father.
2) Jesus Christ existed even before Abraham — Abraham was a Hebrew, but not a Jew.
3) The term “Jew” did not come into existence until after the exile of the Ten Tribes. By the time they adopted the name “Jew,” the southern two tribes were deep in apostasy.
4) God called his people “Israel,” not “Jew.” The terms are not synonymous.
5) Many foreign people converted to become “Jews.” See Esther 8:17 and Matthew 23:15
6) Jesus was condemned to death for heresy — Jews of Jesus time did not recognize Him as a religious Jew.
7) Jews of Jesus time accused Him of being demon-possessed — signaling that the Jews utterly rejected Him as a religious Jew.
8) The Bible refers to Jesus as the Son of God, the Son of Man, the Son of David, a Nazarene, and a Galilean. But never as a Jew.
9) It is implausible to believe that Jesus Christ referred to the devil as His own father when he called the father of the Jews the devil — this is simply heresy. See John 8:44. This would have made Jesus Christ a liar, like the Jews (John 8:55).
10). Equally it is implausible that Jesus Christ would identify himself as a part of Satan’s synagogue. See Revelation 2:9 and Revelation 3:9

Q: Why, then the great push to impose the belief that “Jesus was a Jew?”
A: Because it undermines Jesus Christ as the Son of God and, deceptively, it elevates Jews to be equal with Jesus Christ. It is Satan’s deception.
