Q: How does one rebel?
A: One opens up one’s mouth and speaks.

Q: Speaks what?
A: The forbidden.

Q: Examples?

A: At the dinner table tell your family that “racism” is not a sin. Tell your college educated daughter and her fiancé that the 19th Amendment should repealed and then explain later to your son why, exactly, women should not play leadership roles in politics.

This does two things:
1) It breaks the chains over your own mind and mouth.
2) Despite an immediate reaction, your words and ideas have already penetrated their minds — they cannot get away from it. You have shattered your own personal Overton Window and theirs as well. You have achieve a degree of freedom that you did not have before.

Q: More examples?
A: Associate your name and face with bible ideas. Instead of running an anonymous X account under “Conan 9948,” put up a picture of yourself and your real name.

Q: But I’m afraid . . . my job, friends, marriage . . . .
A: And that’s the whole point. Only you can overcome the chains. Only you. There is true Christian liberty on the other side.
