Response to “Jesus is a Jew”

Response to “Jesus is a Jew”

Someone gave a thoughtfull comment to one of my social media posts in which I condemn the Jews.  He makes the claim that Jesus and the disciple are Jews — the usually stuff.    Because he put the work into it, it was worth a response, as follows:

Comment: you are confusing things.
Jesus is a Jew, a Jew is born from a Jewish woman. The only people group who gain their birthright from their mom, not dad.

Response: The Father of Jesus Christ is not a Jew, not in any way, shape or form. He was conceived of by the Holy Spiriit in a Virgin Woman who descended from David. In this sense, Jesus Christ is the Son of David and the Son of Man, while being 100% the Son of God and the very incarnation of God. “I and the Father are One,” He said.

Response: Yes, the Jews trace their birthright from the Mom, which is an inversion of Holy Scripture. There is no matriarchal line of descent in the Holy Scriptures.

Comment: Bible verses for you, didn’t include the ones where Jesus is called Rabbi, taught in synagogues and followed 613 Jewish laws.

Response:Rabbi means teacher. He taught the Law and he taught in synagogues, fields and even from a boat.

Response:Jesus Christ broke the Jewish rules about Sabbath and didn’t wash his hands per the Jewish “traditions.” He healed on the Sabbath and his disciples picked grain on the Sabbath. Jesus did not break the Ten Commandments, but he certainly rejected “Jewish” interpretations of them. See Matth 15:1-9.

Comment: Jesus said, Salvation is from the Jews. John 4:22

Response: Salvation is from Jesus Christ. The Jews do not provide Salvation. Christ went to the Sons of Israel (which cannot be equated with “Jew”) and preached to them first. The Jews rejected the invite to the wedding, so the Gospel is opened to others. In this sense, “salvation is from the Jews because the Gospel went to them first.”

Response:Jews would LOVE you to believe that they provide salvation — it is part of their deception and hoax.
Comment:“And Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, “You have said so.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭3‬ ‭

Response: Of course he is king of the Jews — he is the King of All Nations. Again, the Jews want people to believe he is a Jew even though the Bible shows the Jews completely rejecting Jesus Christ as one of them. They said he was born of fornication, had a demon, broke the law and was a Galilean and a Nazarene — they did not accept Him as one of them.

Comment: “The Samaritan woman said to him, “How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)”
‭‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬

Response: A foreigner (not of Israel and not a Jew) calls Jesus a Jew. That does not make it His core identity. Scripture says that “He shall be called a Nazarene,” not a Jew. And the Angel himself, at the Ascension, Called the 11 disciples “men of Galilee,” not Jews.

Comment: “Jesus answered him, “I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18‬:‭20‬ ‭

Response: Yes, he said were the Jew came together, including many many “Jews” who were not the children of Israel. See the day of Pentecost where many foreigner or converts had gathered in Jerusalem and the Temple. Many different ethnic groups became Jews even long before the time of Christ. See Esther 8:17. See the day of Pentecost. See Matthew 23:
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are. “
Matthew 23:15

Comment: “And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
‭‭John‬ ‭19:19‬ ‭
Response: And was not Ceasar also King of the Jews? The Jews at the time of Jesus Christ said so:
“Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews.
But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!” “Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked. “We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered. John 19:14-15
Comment: “saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬

Response: He is the King of the Jews and Ceasar was King of the Jews and Jesus Christ is the King of every nation.

Comment: Paul:Acts 23:6 …Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. It is with respect to the hope and the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial…
“We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners;”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬

Response: And it is Paul that condemned the Jews as the murderers of the Prophets, the murderers of Jesus Christ, that Jews are hostile to all of mankind, and, and that the wrath of God remains up the Jews.
(1 Thes 2:14-16).

Response: Christ Himself with have the Jews slaughtered:
Luke 19:27. Compare this to John 19:15 above.

Response: As a reminder, Jesus Christ Himself distanced Himself from his own mother and her (Mary’s) other children according the the flesh: Matthew 12:46-50.

Response: The Jews hated and still hate Jesus Christ. The Jews find our Holy Scriptures odious and entirely anti-Jew and anti-Semitic. In their own words:

“Our Christian brothers and sisters are beginning to address antisemitic attitudes and verses that are a part of the New Testament. In his Removing Anti-Jewish Polemic from our Christian Lectionaries: A Proposal, Norman A. Beck lists about 450 examples of explicitly antisemitic verses throughout the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) and the Acts of the Apostles. Jews are referred to as vipers and poisonous snakes, hard-hearted and hypocrites, thieves and robbers, and the blind guiding the blind. We are told that they reject the commandments, reject God’s purpose, and plotted on multiple occasions to kill Jesus, which the New Testament says they eventually did. The Gospel according to John makes these assertions: God’s word and God’s love are not with the Jews; none of the Jews do what is written in the Torah; they know neither Jesus nor the father; and they are descendants of their own father, who is not God but Satan.”

Response: Finally, the term “Jew” does not enter into the Bible until the very end of the Southern Kingdom of Judah. None of the Nothern Ten Tribes every used that work. Neither the Patriarchs nor Moses would every have hear the term nor identitied themselves as Jews. Moses was not Jewish by geography, race, or religion. It is Moses himself that will accuse the Jews and Moses wrote of Jesus Christ.

Again, your comment deserved a thoughtful reponse.
Kind regards.
