How do we know what we think we know? This is epistemology.

Exciting Possibilities

Exciting Possibilities

The world is full of exciting possibilities as we watch the collapse unfold.  And that is the reason I write this blog.  The world as we have known it is gone — all that was of Western Civilization — founded in Christianity, nobility, the classical virtues of logic and knowledge and rhetoric — are gone.  Christian is practically illegal (it is permitted when segregated to a meaningless private space).   Logic and rationality have been replaced by sloganeering — “racial…

The Proof of Truth Is Inherent in Language

The Proof of Truth Is Inherent in Language

My goal in writing is two fold:  1) That I understand the Truth. 2) That others understand the Truth. Writing is a mental process that forces a rigor of logic upon thought.  Thought without writing is less rigorous, less logical, less thorough and less self-critical.  Writing provides an immediate feedback loop regarding  precision of ideas and logical concepts. I’ve written elsewhere that logic is non-existent without language and that the different languages provide a different filter of reality, logic and…

An Establishment of Religion

An Establishment of Religion

A “religion,” is not just the notion of “God” or a Creator.  A religion is a world view,  systemic understand of our place in the Cosmos, where we came from and where we are going.   A religion has a set of core beliefs, and a priesthood to propagate and protect the beliefs. The major religions have have a core set of written texts that provide the intellectual foundation for that religions. These are obvious in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam,…

It was not an obvious move, for me, to strike out into dangerous territory, which is to mix religion and politics. There are a lot of conservative writers and libertarian, and right wing thinkers and communicators. On the other hand, there are a lot of “Christian” writers and podcasts. And there is, to be fair, some overlap. There are a couple of bloggers and podcasters that I follow that are political, conservative, and Christian, and are open about advocating for…

Universities ARE the State Establishment of Religion

Universities ARE the State Establishment of Religion

There is no such thing as a non-religious order. The current religious order is a secular and atheistic order that, as a matter of dogma, asserts that this is not “religious.” Attached to this assertion of irreligiousity is a presumption (ingrained in the masses by our public school system) that the non-religions order is superior to and above that of the religious order. But if religion is understood as a system of beliefs and a faith, then there is no…

Prophets and Professors

Prophets and Professors

There is a reason Jesus Christ commissioned us to go out and preach the Gospel to all nations (blood lines). People believe things based upon what they hear. Simple. No one is omniscient and we all rely up on the word of others to determine what is true. There isn’t enough time or bandwidth in our lives to figure out for ourselves what is true. That’s why we have “education” — it accelerates that process. But not all that is…

Epistemology

Epistemology

Epistemology is the study of knowledge — how do we know what we think we know? It’s a pretty philosophical question. In fact, it is the ultimate philosophical question. Does truth exist? If so, can we know it? If so, how?

God, Too, Has a Perspective.

God, Too, Has a Perspective.

God does not believe in equality; God is no one’s equal. God created Man first, and Woman from Man. Man was to obey God, and the woman to listen to and obey the man, and in turn the children are to obey the parents. God gave a female as companionship to the male — that was the perfect fit. Homosexuality is the undermining of God’s perfect order for companionship. God’s first command was to reproduce; homosexuality prevents reproduction.
